Biography

Nicholas Parkinson is an art historian. His forthcoming book, Commemorating Military Defeats through Public Sculpture at the Turn of the 20th Century: The International Cult of the Lost Cause (Amsterdam University Press) examines the international trend of nations erecting monuments to defeat prior to World War I. He is a cofounder of the research network Global Peripheries.
