Carlos Sandroni

Biography
Carlos Sandroni was born in Rio de Janeiro in 1958. He holds a doctorate in Musicology at the University of Tours, France. He teaches at the Music Department of the Federal University of Pernambuco since 2000. He has been the president of the Brazilian Ethnomusicological Society, and has been a visiting professor at the University of Texas at Austin and at the Indiana University at Bloomington. He published articles on Brazilian music and on cultural heritage.
