Biography
Frederico Lyra de Carvalho is a Phd candidate in philosophy of art at the University of Lille under the supervisor of Professor Anne Boissière. His thesis focuses on the construction of a notion of improvisation through the work of T. Adorno. He holds a master's degree in art-music from the University of Paris-Sorbonne and a bachelor's degree in music and economics from the UFPE (Brazil). He has published articles on jazz, music, improvisation, Adorno and Brazilian critical theory.
