Louise Francezon is a Ph.D. candidate pursuing a joint degree in History at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne and Art History at Université du Québec à Montréal. Her doctoral research focuses on women war photographers who worked with French institutions (1939-2001). Her project examines the experiences and contributions of these photographers through a gendered perspective. Louise Francezon was awarded the 2022 Mnémosyne Prize for women’s and gender history.
