Francisco RODRÍGUEZ-JIMÉNEZ obtained his Ph. D. in 2009 from the University of Salamanca. He went on to work as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University and as a Fulbrighter at GWU. Currently, he is a professor at the University of Extremadura, and a member of the Global Studies-USAL project. He has likewise acted as international reviewer for the European Research Agency; and he writes regularly OP-Eds in EL MUNDO.
