Biography

He is historian and professor at the University of São Paulo since 2001. He was a visiting professor at the University of Lisbon and at the Universidad de la Republica. Received research grants from FAPESP (Brazil), Duques de Sorriá (Spain) and Calouste Gulbenkian (Portugal). At the moment, he is a member of the Board of Directors of the Society for the History of Authorship, Reading and Publishing (SHARP) and a member of the Deliberative Council of the Institute of Brazilian Studies (IEB-USP).
