Associate Professor of American Studies
Carolin Görgen is Associate Professor of American Studies at Sorbonne University. She obtained her doctorate from the joint PhD program of the University Paris-Diderot and the Ecole du Louvre. Her research explores the history of photography in the American West. She has received support from the Terra Foundation for American Art, the Huntington Library, the Beinecke Library at Yale, and the Amon Carter Museum. From 2016 to 2019, she co-organized the seminar Camera Memoria (LARCA/Paris-Diderot).
